SBE Vision and Genesys on the Digital Thread

SBE Vision and Genesys on the Digital Thread

June 7, 2023 from 12:45 pm to 1:45 pm

Speaker: David Vredenburgh, SBE Vision, Inc.

Today’s digital engineering environments are more complex than ever. With the increasing power of digital tools comes a corresponding increase in the difficulties of tool interoperability. The traditional approaches of file exchanges, import-export, and direct point-to-point integrations are not sufficient. With adapters to Vitech Genesys and more than 20 other digital tools, SBE Vision has the ability to move data seamlessly between tools on demand. SBE enables Genesys users to pull a wide variety of data from the Digital Thread into a Genesys single unified model that takes advantage of the powerful ontological capabilities of both SBE and Genesys. This multi-way connectivity is delivered while leaving users within the confines of their favorite tools.

In this session we will show how Genesys, with its built-in SBE adapter, can be used to interoperate with a variety of tools. Upstream of architecture, we will show how requirements interoperability can be accomplished with both Jama Connect and IBM Doors Next. Within the architecture process, we will show how Cameo models can be published to the digital thread and later subscribed into Genesys, changed, and pushed back. Lastly we will show how, downstream of architecture, Genesys can interoperate with Siemens Teamcenter PLM system and Atlassian Jira.
