Practical Applications of Implementing a Digital Thread

Practical Applications of Implementing a Digital Thread

June 7, 2023 from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm

Speaker: Sage Pasternacki - Northrop Grumman

Document-based approaches silo engineering disciplines. One of the largest schedule setbacks is between preliminary design and document release. During this time, architecture has changed the interfaces and cable designs are now obsolete. How do we solve this? The answer is the Digital Thread. But how exactly? This presentation will take in a depth look at electronics architecture and how we can effectively collaborate between system architects and cable designers. We will cover how we construct our Digital Thread Architecture so that we can optimize the solution, the process, and how we can save time between preliminary design and document release.
